Leagues

Ferndown Gun Club is affiliated to the Dorset Small-bore Rifle & Pistol Association (DSRPA) which runs County leagues and provides a local point of access for National leagues. These leagues are currently as follows:

PRONE RIFLE

Ferndown Gun Club does not currently have any members who take part in the DSRPA prone rifle leagues. For further information visit the DSRPA web site.

AIR RIFLE & AIR PISTOL

These are national postal leagues with entries from all over the UK, the Channel Islands and Ireland; and volumes in excess of 200 competitors.  They are run under ISSF Rules, although there is a sub category for those wishing
to shoot under ‘Sporter Rules’. 
There are two leagues each year, each covering a four month period.
 
LIGHTWEGHT SPORT RIFLE (LSR) AND GALLERY RIFLE CENTRE FIRE (GRCF)

These leagues were introduced in 2011 and are postal events run nationally.

    LSR
 
    Run under NSRA Rules; open to small-bore and air firearms. Any sights are permitted except laser.

    GRCF

    Run under NRA Rules; open to any pistol calibre carbine. Any sights are permitted except laser.
    
There are two leagues for LSR and GRCF each year, each covering a four month period. 



League results are maintained by the DSRPA and/or Parkstone Gun Club
